Step 1: Select Types of Screen
If your projection application is permanent, wall and ceiling screens are the best choice.
Step 2: Decide on screen location
To get the best effect, it is important is to choose an optimal position for the screen. For meeting or conference rooms, it is recommended to not place the screen on the same side as the entrance as it may draw attention away from the audience when someone enters the room during the meeting. Secondly, the projection screen not only reflects the projected images but also the external light (ambient light), therefore any windows or electrical lamps should be positioned to minimize the influence of external light in order to get the best effect.
The projector is to project the images from the same side as the entrance and with no obstacles between the projector and the screen. It can be conducted smoothly without disruption.
The screen is placed on the same side as the entrance. This will cause interruption to the meeting when someone enters the room.
The external lights will be reflected as well. The relative position between the screen and windows is a determining factor in considering screen location.
Step 3: Ensure good viewing angle
Step 4: Determine the screen material surface
If the screen will be used for multiple types of projections, choose the screen surface that meets the requirements of the lesser performing projection method.
Step 5: Determine the screen size
Determine the screen size based on room dimensions, planned audience seating size andarrangement.
